Bella Howard

Biography

After studying an Art foundation course at Wimbledon College of Art, Bella moved to Paris to study photography – a subject she has loved since childhood.
Following an internship offer at i-D magazine, she returned to London, and has since grown to be one of the UK’s leading female photography talents, shooting editorials for high-profile magazines including British Vogue, Purple, Dazed and Confused, i-D, Hunger, Wonderland, Vogue China and the New York Times.
Her portrait work includes celebrity, model and music icons from Lucky Blue Smith, Bella Hadid, Arizona Muse and Noomi Rapace, to Liv Tyler, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Debbie Harry, Annie Lennox, Bryan Ferry and Lana Del Rey.
She has also shot campaigns for leading brands including Topshop, Adidas, Diet Coke, Jigsaw, New Look, Jack Wills, Ellesse and Boots SEVENTEEN.
Back in 2012, she staged her own exhibition during London Fashion Week, entitled ‘Love Buzz’, inspired by her favourite Nirvana song of the same title, which featured images dating back to her early teens taken at house parties, hangouts, festivals and on road trips. The show represented a journey of adolescence providing a colourful insight into Howard’s energetic, vibrant and pop-infused photographic style.
